Sam Way was born in Devon, England and began writing songs on the piano at the age of 16. His father, also a musician, taught him some chords on the guitar, which – upon moving to London – quickly became his principal instrument.
In 2014 Sam released 3 singles, ‘Dancing Shoes’, ‘Golden Soldier’ and ‘Bucket List’ and began co-writing and gigging in and around London. Venues Way has played include the legendary Ronnie Scotts, Denmark St’s famous 12 Bar, Thorpe Park with the Showcase Live team and at the Bristol UWE Summer Ball. In 2014 he played his first Festival in North Devon at ‘Somersault Fest’ and a month later began a tour of the South West of England.
Ways’ musical talent was discovered and catalyzed by the legendary Eric Hall, who helped launch the careers of Queen and the Sex Pistols. In November 2015 Sam released his debut EP ‘Architect’ which, after a UK tour with Anna Pancaldi, climbed to number 15 in the iTunes Alternative album chart. The music video to his single ‘Stargazer’ was also premiered with much anticipation on gigsandfestivals.com.
